Lincoln Haven was started 10 years ago, when the property belonging to the Presbyterian church was up for sale – Sharon, who owned the property around this 18Ha piece of land, being a trained nursing sister, and had a heart for the elderly, began to see how this group of buildings might lend itself perfectly to a retirement home with a Frail care facility – in the country. So, she and her hubby, Jock, began to do some research on the market needs, and found that there was an ever-increasing need for Frail care and a massive gap in the market for assisted living.  And so after acquiring the land and buildings, they set out to renovate and improve so that Lincoln Haven is now perfectly suited to the elderly who love to be away from the rush and busyness of city life.
